Genesis of Humble™

It is not easy to be humble, especially when you live in a society where individuality and competition are highly appreciated. In this society, humility is a difficult but beautiful quality. In many religions and spiritual traditions humility plays an important role. Humility helps in the formation of your character, and in general leads to a deepening of your relationships with others. 
It takes greatness to be humble.

Humble ™  was created in June 2011 when a friend had a special anniversary, which asked for a special gift. Through drawings and text, I drew her life in pictures and I printed the booklet. I really loved the drawn personality and slowly I became addicted to the figure that I named Humble ™.

Why Humble ™:   

According to the dictionary means Humble: Humility, modesty, simplicity. This is in accordance with the basic idea of ​​Sufism: Humility, sobriety, but also making the best out of yourself. To make the world a little better , to catch the light and unconditional love and pass it on. Back to basics, back to the source. That appeals to me. Therefore: Humble ™, loving simplicity in image and text.

Humbles ™ bilingualism:
During a period of reflection on myself and my position on the labor market, I decided that I no longer wanted to do what I do not like to do, namely to work for a boss and at a fixed job and fixed workinghours, but to do what I really do like to do, which is: Playing, and making the world a bit more beautiful. To challenge myself. Humble ™ was created out of these ideas. Humble ™ stands for the same values ​​as I do: humility, unconditional love, making the best out of yourself.

With Humble ™ I want to establsih my ideal to work independently. The first Humble ™ site / blog that I made was in English, because Humble is of course a citizen of the whole world.
The main goal with Humble ™ is to send the message of UCL, unconditional love into the world. It is the intention to support with Humble ™ talented young people in Africa  for example by paying their school fees. 

The first Humble ™ product was a set of cards for the Dutch market, so there had to be also a Dutch site. At the moment, the production of a new set of cards is also a fact. I am also experimenting with the production of bags, mugs, t-shirts.

 In short: Humble ™ is a small company in formation and in full motion.The sites show all new developments.

Noteworthy: The Humble ™ predecessor dates back to 1996. At that time I worked on a school project to raise funds for an orphanage in Nicaragua, and in retrospect I realize that during that time the origin of the character I now call Humble ™was first invented. I wrote the text and made drawings for the schools project.  

Over fifteen years he was slumped in my memory, until the summer of 2011 when Humble ™ was born and now he is here to stay and ready to conquer the world.
